Leading Sports Personality Set To Kick Off IoD Annual Lunch

Preparations for one of the most prestigious social events on the business calendar, the Institute of Director’s Annual Lunch, sponsored by Rainbow Communications, have officially kicked off with the announcment that sportsman Nigel Walker, will be this year’s guest speaker.
Over the length of this career, Nigel Walker has taken centre stage on a number of global platforms to showcase his many sporting talents, including high hurdling in the Olympic Games and earning 17 caps for Wales in Rugby Union.
Now serving as National Director of the English Institute of Sport, Nigel Walker will address local directors at the IoD Annual Lunch on Friday 17th October at the Hilton Hotel, Belfast.
Director of the Institute of Directors NI, Linda Brown, said:
“Nigel Walker is a prolific figure in the worlds of both sport and business and with such a rich history in representing his nation in so many iconic sporting events, his stories will no doubt captivate and motivate the audience.

As National Director of the English Institute of Sport, Nigel works closely with Team GB and Paralympic GB athletes across all disciplines to ensure they receive the best care possible and oversees their medical provision.

“Nigel will draw upon his own experiences to address directors on key issues such as the challenges of motivating teams versus motivating individuals and how to develop a positive ‘can do’ culture within the workplace.”
