NI Business Leaders Countdown to IoD's Annual Dinner
26 January 2015
Northern Ireland business leaders are once again counting down to the grand unveiling of the Lunn’s Award of Excellence winner at this year’s Institute of Director’s Annual Dinner.
Taking place on 5th February in the Europa Hotel, Belfast, the hugely successful IoD Annual Dinner, sponsored by Bank of Ireland and Arthur Cox solicitors, is the highlight of the year for the local business community.
With some of Northern Ireland’s most influential business minds flocking from all four corners of the region to book themselves a space in this ‘not-to-be-missed’ networking event, the Annual Dinner is the place for aspiring corporate figures.
IoD NI Divisional Director, Linda Brown said:
“The Annual Dinner is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the business calendar and is an excellent opportunity for like-minded individuals to connect through the exchange of ideas, industry knowledge and expertise in a social environment.
“Proceedings on the night will also involve the presentation of the coveted Lunn’s Award of Excellence and a Rolex watch to one of our recent IoD NI Director of the Year finalists, which is incredibly exciting.”
Fraser Doherty MBE aka ‘Jam Boy’, the youngest ever supplier to major supermarket chain, Waitrose, and winner of over 20 innovation awards, will be providing an entertaining presentation on the night as guest speaker.
After dinner, the comedy writer and performer, Simon Evans – the writer of choice for Dara O’Briain, and has appeared on comedy shows such as The Mighty Boosh, The News Quiz, Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo – will close the proceedings.
Head of Business & Corporate Banking for Bank of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Ian Sheppard said:
“One of our greatest assets for attracting inward investment to Northern Ireland is undoubtedly our pool of professional talent and world class expertise.
“Like the IoD, Bank of Ireland is focused on listening to the individual endeavours of every entrepreneur and business leader that walks through our doors, and seeking to help them achieve their corporate goals and aspirations wherever we can.
“For this reason, we are delighted to support this year’s IoD Annual Dinner and look forward to meeting everyone on the night.”
Managing Partner of joint sponsor, Arthur Cox Solicitors, Alan Taylor said:
“We always enjoy meeting both familiar and new faces at the IoD Annual Dinner and look forward to learning more about each of their businesses and of course, the person behind it.
“We continue to be avid supporters of Northern Ireland’s thriving business community, which continues to grow in numbers and strength and are thrilled to be involved with the Annual Dinner in celebration of Northern Ireland’s corporate success.”
A prize draw on the night will also raise funds for the Institute of Directors Northern Ireland Charity of the Year, Chest, Heart and Stroke Foundation.
