Volunteer board members wanted for Clanmil
14 October 2016
Based in Belfast, the Group currently includes Clanmil Housing Association, Clanmil Developments Limited, Clanmil Properties Limited, Hearth Housing Association (specialising in bringing historic buildings back into use as social housing) and Clanmil Ireland Housing Association Limited based in Dublin (a related company).
Clanmil are looking for people who are committed and have the ability to understand and analyse complex information, and provide effective challenge. They should have a commitment to good governance and be prepared to manage risk effectively in an increasingly challenging and exciting environment. They will play an important part in developing key relationships with stakeholders and tenants, and need to be willing to develop and learn.
A commitment to attend eight Board meetings, and/or four Group Audit and Risk Committee meetings per year, and to keep abreast of political, economic and social developments, will be important.
Clanmil would welcome an expression of interest from anyone who shares a passion for providing homes and supporting communities. They hope to establish a panel of potential interested parties including people with knowledge and/or experience in finance, regeneration, community development, social enterprise, health and social services, media and public relations.
This is not a paid position, although out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
